Joe Mechlinski
As the CEO and Co-Founder of entreQuest, Joe has helped hundreds of companies prosper through some of the worst economic times in history. Joe’s debut business book, Grow Regardless, an instant New York Times bestseller, focuses on the core philosophies eQ uses to strengthen teams and increase productivity.
Joe leads and inspires the eQ team to help clients create customized growth strategies that work, manage change and revive culture, train and develop better leaders, provide remarkable employee and client experiences, as well as attract, retain, and grow top talent.
Joe currently serves on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Chesapeake, as well as the Community-University Collaborating Committee (CUCC). CUCC, part of The Johns Hopkins Urban Health Institute (UHI), is charged with improving the relationship between the university and the East Baltimore community, and improving the health conditions of the residents.
Since 2001, Joe and eQ have been featured on FoxNews.com Live and Bloomberg Radio, as well as in the Baltimore Sun, Entrepreneur, The Daily Record, The Wall Street Journal Online and The Baltimore Business Journal, which named entreQuest one of its “Best Places to Work” in 2011 and 2012. Also in 2010, The Daily Record tapped Joe for its “Successful by 40” list, and in 2012 named him one of Maryland’s Most Admired CEOs. In 2004, the Maryland Chamber of Commerce chose entreQuest as its Small Business of the Year.
Joe is a voracious reader with an uncanny ability to predict the next bestselling book, having read more than 400 volumes on business, sales, self-improvement, marketing, and history. He also survived a trek up Mount Kilimanjaro and his first (and last) marathon in Baltimore. And while he would like to say he is an accomplished golfer in his spare time, Joe’s 32 handicap unfortunately does not qualify him for the PGA Tour.
